We have set up a Podcast site you can download Sermons from our speakers and pastors or, subscribe to and the files will automatically be downloaded for you.
Podcasting - 'Podcasting' refers to the ability to have audio and or video files downloaded automatically onto your iPod or other media player.
Here's a bit of useful information and links relating to computer audio and podcasting to help you to make use of this site.
Media players
There is a range of media playing software available for Windows which will play MP3 and other types of audio and video files. To save one of our MP3 files for playback on your computer, just right click the link and then "save as..." to which ever directory you want to store it in. Three of the most popular media player programs are :
Winamp - versatile free media player
Windows media player - this is often installed with your windows pc
iTunes - free download that works with both windows and mac computers.
The following are programs which you can use to automatically download MP3 'podcasts' from various sites. These programs scan to see if a new audio file has been added to the site and download it. They can then add the file to a media player playlist and even get it sent to your portable media device such as an iPod, iriver, etc. so you can listen to it on the go.
The beauty of all this is that it happens automatically, once it has been set up.
iTunes - free download that works as a media player and as an aggregator. iTunes is the easiest to use when downloading and listening to podcasts and is a Podcasting clients (aggregators).
Ipodder - the original podcasting client. Neat and simple to use.
Doppler - an alternative podcasting client which offers a lot more power and functionality. For iPod users, this includes the ability to facilitate the automatic conversion of downloaded podcast MP3s into audiobook files, which are bookmakable, and also allow you to alter the listening speed. Great software.
